I expected a fine product, and this globe was even better. The finish and detail are excellent. The illumination reveals terrain well and makes the globe nicely decorative. Although 16" is self-descriptive, there are barely any stores at which such a globe can be seen, so I will observe that the size is pleasing in a room...it doesn't look like it was swiped from an elementary school but is not overwhelming.
