The Phoenix II globe features a stunning solid steel base designed by artist Tom Torrens. The sweeping flair of the black metal base converges to support a full-swing meridian assembly that allows the globe to be tilted a full 360 on one axis and spun within its meridian. The die-cast numbered metal meridian features a matching black finish that contrasts perfectly with the off-white color ocean map.
The political, topographical map style is a bit different from most antique style globes, providing a bit more modern executive style color scheme featuring the latest National Geographic cartography. It also features a raised relief surface, which provides a 3D effect on various mountains and mountain ranges.
